Chevy/GM Squarebody HD Engine Crossmember 1973-1987(1991)

This is our Heavy Duty replacement Engine Crossmember for the K-Series Squarebody 1973-1987 Chevrolet & GM Trucks (thru 1991 for the Blazer/Jimmy/Suburban). It features a full replacement of the factory crossmember and the side "triangles" that your motor mounts bolt to (yes, this means you have to lift and support the engine to install this - but we feel that a little extra effort is worth the additional strength!) It bolts into most of the rivet holes, and there are a few more holes that will need to be drilled (in some cases). There is a drop-out center section for oil pan access, and there are also optional track bar tabs for installing a track bar when changing to crossover steering (Yes, you want to do this!!).

* This crossmember will also clear LS Engine oil pans and even Duramax swaps!

** Installing this crossmember REQUIRES some amount of lift on the vehicle, otherwise the center section can make contact with your front axle!  You can get away with 2.5"-3" when running the factory GM 10-bolt axle, but if you have a D60 swapped in then we recommend 4" lift minimum!!

The latest version features a higher-clearance drop out center that can be run in one direction for additional axle clearance, or spun 180 degrees for additional oil pan clearance (Duramax swaps).
